Morgan Vacation 2011: Here! (getting here)

We arrived in Michigan at about 10:30 this morning! After driving through the night we were all quite exhausted. :) Here are a bunch of pictures! I am journaling the trip sooooo you get to read some of my journal entries!

We left the house around 8:15 am. We're about 2 hours into our trip now and it has been raining for awhile. I have listened to a little bit of Narnia and started watching Tangled.

12:54pm We just took our first stop after about 4 hours! We're about halfway to Aunt Ruth's.

5:08 We're about 30 min from Aunt Ruth. We've stopped for gas twice and it's $100 to fill the tank. The van is kinda having trouble but it is still running.

At aunt Ruths! This was about 8 hours into our trip and we stopped for about 3 or so hours.

About 6pm... been driving since 8am and have the whole night left to drive...

8:14 pm - In for a long night of driving. We had a great visit with A. Ruth and cousin Frankie. Great to see them again. The van is sounding a little better. Hope it doesn't break down tonight. Listening to Horse and His Boy.

11:56 pm - Made another stop. We're 1 hour out of Illinois. Got to get some rest so I can stay awakener Ryan driving. Started watching Gods & Gens.

1:30am I feel pretty refreshed after 1 hour of sleep. Have to stay awake till 4am to keep Ryan awake while he's driving. Gonna dig up my MP3 player and play some tunes! Oh yeah. haha. I've had the Tangled soundtrack stuck in my head all day!

3:30am - stopped again. 6 hours to go! When we stopped, Anna said "Stop touching me, Rebecca. I already feel like 10 people are hugging me." Obviously it's humid. Thankfully the van is still driving.

5:57 am - His finally starting to get light! I wake up 24 hours ago to leave the house. 1 hour 45 minutes of sleep between now & then. I don't know how far we are to Grandma's. D is driving and Rachel is reading the Hobbit to him. I finished the first half of Gods and Gens before my battery got really low. Listening to YoYo Ma.

7:03 am - Stopped at McD's for breakfast. Few more hours to go! Everyone is getting tired.

9:30am About 30 min till Grandma's! I just woke up from about an hour of very much needed sleep. Rebecca and Michael are driving/reading right now. David/Rachel did 4am to 7am so they're sleeping. I stayed up pretty much all night except 1 hour. So tired. Can't wait to get to Grandma's.
